SPOTLIGHTS BARCÚ 2018
Spotlights is the platform through which Barcú supports independent artists. Each artist selected by the committee will have the opportunity to show their work to more than 20 thousand visitors that come to the fair. In addition, it is the chance to connect with the galleries that will take part of this fifth version and with the collectors attracted by Barcú.
The artists selected will be able to sell their work and get 100% of the income, given that Barcú does not charge commission on sales. Moreover, there will be a private event with the artists of Spotlights and the galleries that participate in Barcú 2018.
Artists from any nationality and age are welcome to participate, as long as they have a degree in arts or similar careers and they are not represented by any national or international gallery. They can participate with plastic arts (painting, sculpture…), installation, photography, audiovisual work or audiovisual installation, produced in the last two years.
The fair will be launched in a private event on October 23rd 2018 and will be open to the public October 24th through 29th. The invitation to participate will be open from June 5th to August 1st of 2018. The result of the selected artists will be published in the website on September 19th 2018.
Each selected artist will receive the following benefits:
- 1 Spotlight artist ID tag
- 1 companion ID tag
- 2 additional VIP passports that they can use at their convenience.
Finally, the platform intends to award the best artist of this Spotlights edition. The winner will receive:
- Certificate of Spotlights first place
